Job Overview
We’re seeking a meticulous Accounting Data Entry Clerk to support day-to-day accounting tasks. This role involves high-volume transactions, basic reconciliations, and collaboration with the finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the production of accounts receivable invoicing and payment reconciliation.
  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices and payroll-related postings.
  • Reconcile supplier statements; assist with month-end close, and routine reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll tax withholdings, benefits, and year-end processes under supervision; prepare basic payroll reports.
  • Maintain and cleanse master data for vendors and employees; support changes in status, terminations, and new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements; escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

Skills

  • 1–3 years of accounting data entry, AP/AR, or payroll support experience.
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not always required).
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with payroll concepts and common payroll software (e.g., ADP Canada, Payworks, Ceridian, Desjardins payroll integrations) is a plus; strong willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, problem-solving skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
