CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing large amounts of incoming emails and phone calls, generating sales leads, identify and assessing customer needs to achieve satisfaction. They must have technical competency to understand customer requests, as they relate to the electronics and automation industry. They will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This position will work out of RAE’s branch in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and reports directly to RAE’s Inside Customer Service Manager.

RANGE OF DUTIES

  • Manage large amounts of incoming emails and phone calls
  • Create quotations and source product when required
  • Process quotes and orders with accuracy
  • Upsell customers when opportunities are presented
  • Schedule and perform quote and order follow up
  • Communicate with Inside and Outside Sales Rep’s to ensure their customer’s expectations are being met
  • Identify and generate sales leads
  • Identify and adapt to the customers’ needs with intention to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open, professional and interactive communication
  • Communicate and provide accurate, valid and complete information
  • Keep records of customer interactions and file documents in an organized manner
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold a diploma in electronic technology; or a minimum of two years of related experience within the industrial electronics and automation sectors; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks is crucial
