- Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles to support learner participation and usability.
- Ensure educational content remains current, accurate, accessible, written in plain language, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Professionalism Education Strategy Support
- Develop learning products that support professionalism themes including ethics, professional conduct, civility, consumer protection, public trust, competence, professional standards, technology, and AI responsibility.
- Support professionalism refreshers, elective pathways, and remediation learning through practical, scenario-based design.
- Support approved Professional Development learning priorities, including professionalism-related course development and updates.
Project Management and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Manage multiple course development projects through the instructional design lifecycle, including needs assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate project timelines, reviews, approvals, pilots, launches, and revisions.
- Work with subject matter experts and internal departments to identify learning needs, performance gaps, and practical solutions.
Learning Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Develop course evaluation tools and assessment strategies.
- Review learner feedback, completion data, and course outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend course updates based on member feedback, regulatory changes, complaint trends, and industry developments.
- Maintain course documentation, version history, and approval records for assigned learning products.
Department Support
- Support the planning and coordination of educational programs, staff training, and related departmental initiatives.
- Contribute to annual planning, special projects, and departmental goals.
External Vendor and Content Management
- Assist with identifying, evaluating, and coordinating external educational content, course developers, and professional speakers.
- Coordinate with third-party course developers and subject matter experts when external development is approved.
- Ensure outsourced content aligns with RAE standards, learning objectives, and member needs.
Experience
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, adult education, learning and development, or related field.
- Experience building eLearning using Articulate Storyline, Rise360, Vyond, or similar authoring tools.
- Experience administering or working within a Learning Management System (LMS), such as Docebo.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and related learning and development practices; a professional designation in these areas is considered an asset.
- Excellent written communication, editing, project management, organizational, and Microsoft 365 skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
