Full job description

The Maintenance plays a vital role in delivering the SENSEA experience by ensuring our facilities, pools, buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, clean, and operating at the highest standard. This position supports the daily operation of the spa by maintaining a beautiful, safe, and functional environment for both guests and team members.

Working behind the scenes, the Maintenance Technician takes pride in caring for the property, completing preventative maintenance, and helping ensure every area of the spa is ready to welcome guests each day.

Core Responsibilities

Pool Operations & Water Quality

Maintain the safe operation of all pools and water features by following SENSEA's established operating procedures and water management systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete daily pool water testing using the approved pool testing application.
  • Follow all directions provided by the pool management system for chemical adjustments and water balancing.
  • Record all testing results, chemical additions, and maintenance activities accurately within the pool testing application.
  • Complete routine maintenance of pool controllers, pumps, filters, heaters, dosing systems, and related pool equipment following established procedures.
  • Perform daily inspections of pools, water features, and associated equipment.
  • Report equipment concerns or irregular readings to management promptly.

No previous commercial pool experience is required. Full training will be provided.

Facilities Maintenance

  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property following established procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, buildings, and spa facilities.
  • Escalate larger maintenance or mechanical issues to management or specialized contractors when required.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and minor construction.
  • Maintain lighting, pathways, railings, outdoor furniture, signage, and guest amenities.
  • Respond to maintenance requests throughout the day.

Property Operations

  • Complete opening and closing facility inspections.
  • Restock firewood throughout the property and maintain firewood inventory.
  • Remove garbage from the property and transport used linen to the laundry facility.
  • Receive deliveries and organize maintenance inventory.
  • Complete inventory counts and assist with supply ordering.
  • Maintain storage areas, workshops, and maintenance spaces.
  • Assist with seasonal landscaping and general property upkeep.
  • Ensure guest-facing areas remain clean, safe, and operational.

Equipment Operation

  • Safely operate the loader/forklift to move deliveries, materials, and supplies.
  • Safely operate UTVs and maintenance equipment.
  • Use power tools and maintenance equipment safely and responsibly.

Seasonal Responsibilities

  • Complete snow removal throughout the property.
  • Salt and sand walkways during winter conditions.
  • Assist with seasonal property maintenance throughout the year.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and beautiful property.
  • Be detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Be comfortable working independently while following established procedures.
  • Be physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs or more.
  • Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
  • Be comfortable using power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Be willing to learn SENSEA's pool maintenance procedures and operating systems.
  • Be comfortable operating a loader/forklift and UTV (training can be provided).
  • Have experience in general maintenance, landscaping, construction, or property maintenance (considered an asset but not required).

Technical Project Opportunities

Employees with experience in construction, carpentry, plumbing, equipment installation, or other skilled trades may have opportunities to take on approved technical projects at a premium rate of $25.00/hour. These projects may include facility improvements, equipment installations, repairs, and minor construction.

If you have existing trade skills—or are interested in expanding your experience through additional technical work—we encourage you to discuss these opportunities with management.

Schedule

This position offers a variety of weekday and weekend shifts based on operational needs.

Shifts may start as early as 5:30 a.m. and extend as late as 10:00 p.m., with occasional later hours required for special projects, maintenance work, or seasonal operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly wage: $18.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience.
