Full job description

We are currently looking for Forest Technologists to join our growing team that is based out of our downtown Edmonton office. Candidates must be capable of performing demanding field work in isolated conditions.

Some things you will be responsible for:
To be successful as a Forest Technologist at Carson Integrated, you will have experience with most of these areas and are eager to learn and develop the ones you are missing.

  • PSP’s & TSP’s
  • Harvest block layout
  • Timber harvest and access planning
  • Digital collection, preparation, and management of field data
  • Herbicide application supervision
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Forest and environmental field and site assessment
  • Resource and utility field surveys
  • Resource exploration activities

Experience and skill set to thrive as a Forest Technologist:

  • A university degree or diploma in Forestry or a related field
  • 2+ seasons of relevant work experience
  • Experience in field activities such as PSP’s, TSP’s, timber cruising, boundary and road layout, riparian layout, and timber reconnaissance surveys
  • Knowledge of forestry policy, regulations, and legislation in Alberta is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Capable of enduring physically demanding field work
  • Solid communication skills
  • Experience operating an ATV and Snowmobile
