ROLE OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Quality will lead and elevate the quality function across its Montreal engine maintenance and operations facility. This role reflects a commitment to building a world-class quality culture focused on operational rigor, regulatory compliance, process adherence, and escape prevention. The organization has separated quality from training and administrative compliance activities to create a dedicated leadership position focused on driving quality performance throughout the operation. The Vice President of Quality will serve as the senior quality leader for the site, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to ensure quality standards are embedded into every aspect of the business. This leader will be responsible for developing systems, processes, and accountability mechanisms that strengthen operational discipline, improve quality outcomes, reduce escapes, and support continued growth within a highly regulated aviation environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead operational quality across a complex aviation maintenance and repair environment.

· Strengthen process adherence, operational discipline, and quality accountability throughout the organization.

· Establish and reinforce quality standards that ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

· Lead investigations into quality escapes, non-conformances, customer findings, and operational quality events, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.

· Develop quality systems, controls, and oversight mechanisms that prevent escapes and improve overall quality performance.

· Provide oversight for quality activities operating within applicable aviation regulatory frameworks and support inspections, audits, and quality reviews.

· Champion Lean quality principles and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality performance, operational efficiency, and process effectiveness.

· Develop and monitor quality metrics and trend analysis to drive accountability and improvement.

· Lead and develop quality professionals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

REQUIREMENTS

· 8+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within aviation maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, MRO, repair station operations, or similarly regulated environments.

· Proven experience improving process adherence, reducing quality escapes, strengthening quality systems, and driving operational accountability.

· Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements, including FAA, EASA, Part 145, Transport Canada, or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

· Demonstrated success implementing Lean quality principles, continuous improvement initiatives, or operational excellence programs resulting in measurable performance improvements.

· Extensive experience leading investigations, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.

· Ability to effectively influence and partner with Operations, Engineering, and leadership teams to strengthen quality performance and organizational discipline.

· Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build credibility across technical, operational, regulatory, and executive stakeholders.

COMPENSATION

A competitive compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes an excellent base salary, performance-based bonus, and additional offerings commensurate with the role.
