Navitas Vehicle Systems Ltd. is a leading designer and Manufacturer of Electric Drive Systems & Multi-Purpose Platforms for LSV Market (Low Speed Vehicles), Material Handling and Outdoor Power Equipment Markets. Our Products include DC & AC Drive Systems utilizing CAN & Bluetooth Communications for Advanced Control & Performance. Located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, our Canadian Manufactured Drive Systems are Installed by OEMs and Globally Marketed Through Leading Distributors.

Position Overview:

Navitas Vehicle Systems is seeking an experienced Software Developer or Computer Science professional to help design, develop, and support our multi-platform enterprise web and mobile applications.

Our software platforms are deployed worldwide and support our LSV drivetrain products, providing user interfaces and tools for end users, OEMs, manufacturers, and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across cloud services, web applications, mobile apps, automation tools, and data-driven user interfaces.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial software solutions that support vehicle controller configuration, manufacturing data analysis, customer support tools, and global product deployment.

You will work directly with internal engineering, production, and support teams to build reliable, scalable, and user-focused software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve enterprise-level web and mobile applications.
  • Support and maintain multiple Parse Server cloud platforms.
  • Develop REST-based desktop scripting tools for automation, testing, and integration with third-party PaaS file and database systems.
  • Build UI-intensive single-page applications for data presentation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support applications used across manufacturing, OEM, dealer, and end-user environments.
  • Develop and maintain .NET MAUI-based iOS, Android, and UWP applications.
  • Create and support custom operating system-specific renderers, adapters, and integrations.
  • Apply contemporary software design patterns and principles, including MVVM and SOLID.
  • Review, mentor, and collaborate on JavaScript, HTML, C#, and .NET code with other developers.
  • Participate in regression testing, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support globally deployed products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Direct experience developing commercialized software products.
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and web application development.
  • Experience with mobile application development, preferably using MAUI.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, cloud services, and database-backed applications.
  • Familiarity with MVVM, SOLID principles, and modern software architecture practices.
  • Exposure to regression testing, unit testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve production software systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and technical teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Parse Server platforms.
  • Experience with SPA frameworks and data visualization interfaces.
  • Experience supporting apps deployed across iOS, Android, and Windows environments.
  • Experience working with vehicle systems, controllers, manufacturing data, or technical product support tools.
  • Experience mentoring other developers or participating in formal code reviews.
