Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate large-scale construction projects efficiently and safely. Your expertise will ensure that equipment is used effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the heavy equipment operation field.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling equipment with precision and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and excavation tasks to support project timelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate equipment usage and project progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment operation, maintenance logs, and site activities for accountability.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and communicate complex problems to maintenance teams when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers (including Caterpillar), excavators, loaders, graders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery in a construction setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on heavy machinery.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for transporting equipment or materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise in loader operation, grader operation, paving techniques, and backhoe handling.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Prior experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is highly desirable.
