About the Role
We’re seeking a Drafting Technologist to join our growing team in the metal manufacturing industry.

We are a busy and growing metal manufacturing company providing high-quality custom fabrication, materials, structural, pressure piping, and heavy machinery to industrial and commercial clients. We take pride in excellent customer service, quality workmanship, and a team-oriented environment.

In this role, you’ll transform concepts into precise fabrication designs and drawings, support our fabrication team, and help bring complex projects to life with accuracy and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed fabrication designs and drawings
  • Prepare files for CNC Plasma Tables and Beamline Machines
  • Assist in developing and maintaining CAD drawing libraries
  • Provide drawing information and technical support to Fabricators/Welders
  • Conduct shop measurements and perform reverse engineering of fabricated components
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Accountability

You’ll be responsible for the quality and accuracy of all drawings, ensuring that each project meets our high standards. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will directly impact project success and operational efficiency.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Design and Drafting Technology
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or Inventor
  • Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Strong computer skills (email, Word, Excel, CAD)
  • Ability to read metric and standard tape measurements
