Volunteer Coordinator

Our client is looking for a temporary Volunteer Coordinator to join their team. The position of the Volunteer Coordinator will allow the candidate to assist in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers and ensure that needs and requirements are being fulfilled within the organization.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Recruite volunteers
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding volunteers
  • Develop role descriptions that reflect volunteer opportunities
  • Screen applicants and conduct reference checks
  • Assist with on boarding volunteers
  • Assist with the development of policies, procedures and volunteer initiatives
  • Implement strategies to promote volunteer programs to members of the organization, stakeholders and to the public
  • Ensure privacy of all program applications and participants

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas and network with diverse groups of people
