Employer Liaison – Future Works Program
Location: Peace River
Part Time/Full Time: Full Time
Temporary/Permanent: Contract
End Date: December 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension
Hours of Work: M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 35 hours/week
Salary Range: $48,000 -$50,000 annually

Job Summary
Future Works Peace River/High Level is recruiting to fill (1) full-time Employer Liaison position.
Future Works supports individuals who face employment barriers, including those with self-disclosed disabilities, by providing the services and resources they need to overcome challenges, secure meaningful employment, and maintain long-term success in the workplace.
Reporting to the Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with employers throughout Peace River and surrounding communities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the Agency values of compassion, collaboration, innovation, integrity and inclusiveness.
· Promoting job-ready clients, identifying local job opportunities, and providing recruitment assistance to employers.
· The Employer Liaison supports client retention by coordinating with the Employment Facilitators and employers when issues arise post-placement, helping to resolve concerns early.
· Organize employer engagement activities such as mock interview marathons, employer showcases, delivery of employer-focused training.
· Timely and accurate data entry into the agency and/or Government of Alberta database.
· Collaborate with the Employment Facilitator to identify and secure employment opportunities for candidates
· Working with the Employment Facilitator to align clients job targets and skills, guiding targeted outreach to potential employer partners.
· Evaluate potential worksites by researching job availability and ensuring alignment with clients’ skills, qualifications, and career goals.
· Conduct job searches aligned with client’s career goals; collaborate with employers as needed to explore individualized workplace accommodations, such as modified duties, assistive technologies, or retention support services.
· Partner with employers to address workforce gaps by providing guidance on accessing, recruiting, and retaining skilled talent from both traditional and non-traditional labor pools.
· Represent EmployAbilities at career fairs, trade shows, hiring events and other events as required.
· Build and maintain strong employer partnerships to facilitate ongoing placement opportunities for clients.
Your Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
· Related experience with full cycle recruitment with an understanding of current employment opportunities and labour market trends.
· Minimum two years’ experience in employer engagement, employment, or marketing/outreach.
· Previous experience working with persons with disability or barriers to employment or other at risk populations.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and relationship building.
· Strong writing and communication skills for creating employer-facing materials and digital content.
· A valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Suite, Virtual Meeting platforms (Skype, Zoom, Teams Google meet etc.).
- Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector check.
