Who we are:

Canaccord Genuity (CG) is a leading independent full-service financial services firm, with operations in two principal segments of the securities industry: wealth management and capital markets. Our success is built on deep sector expertise, strong relationships, and a commitment to delivering value across our business - for clients, colleagues, partners, and stakeholders. We are a leading independent wealth management firm in Canada, and the leading mid-market provider of investment banking advisory, equity research, sales and trading services for corporations and institutions.

We pride ourselves on understanding the people and markets we serve, and bringing thoughtful and innovative, solutions to our work. Our entrepreneurial and collaborative culture will challenge you to learn and grow every day. We value great work and are looking for talented people who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make an impact through innovative ideas, sound judgement and industry leading best practices.

Come be a part of our Canadian success story and help contribute to the work that drives our business forward. At CG, we recognize that diversity across our business strengthens our client relationships and enables more innovative solutions. We strongly encourage applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status. CG provides an accessible candidate experience. If you need any accommodation throughout the interview process and beyond, please let us know.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst to join our Investor Relations team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, relevant summaries of financial and market data, producing periodic reports as required, and supporting the team during core financial reporting periods. The role requires strong attention to detail and a disciplined, methodical approach to execution. This role provides a strong foundation for developing deep expertise in investor relations analytics, disclosure support, and financial reporting within a highly confidential and detail‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative financial and market data to support internal analysis and external reporting
  • Research, track, and analyze capital markets trends, industry developments, business performance metrics, and peer and competitor activity
  • Support the development and production of investor relations materials, including presentations, scripts, financial and related disclosures
  • Track, interpret, and summarize estimates and consensus information provided by sell‑side analysts
  • Collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams (including Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders) to support the preparation of accurate and timely disclosures
  • Prepare ad‑hoc analyses and briefing materials for internal partners, including competitive intelligence, investor relations activity assessments, and industry issue reviews
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, and consistency of investor relations processes, tools, and reporting
  • Maintain the highest levels of discretion and strict confidentiality

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role within capital markets, investor relations, equity research, or financial data / information services, ideally supporting TSX-listed public companies
  • Postsecondary degree or equivalent in business, finance, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in public companies, financial markets, and capital markets dynamics
  • Proficiency with capital markets data and analytics platforms, including hands‑on experience extracting, analyzing, and interpreting financial, market, and consensus data
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting financial disclosures and investor‑facing materials
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and a structured approach to execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, concise messaging
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
