We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual with from scratch baking experience to join our baking team!

Location: Westhills Shopping Centre

This is a position working from 3am-10am, 5 days/week

Overview:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Scheduled 5 days per week

  • Potential for growth and development opportunities, including certified COBS Lead Bread Baker Training and e-Learning
  • Complimentary products, on us, every shift

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:

  • Work as part of a small team to bake products from scratch early each morning, following carefully crafted recipes
  • Be responsible for reading production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, molding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens
  • Also work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and provide delightful customer service

Who we’re looking for:

  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership, teamwork & communication is important to you
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards in baking and presentation.
  • You can easily transport yourself to your work location
  • You have at least 2-3 years experience working as a Baker
  • You have a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Prior experience in baking from scratch is advantageous.
  • If you have a passion for baking, along with the necessary skills to thrive in a dynamic bakery environment, we encourage you to apply

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous standing/ walking for all tasks
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 9 kg.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
  • Frequent turning and reaching
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending
