Full job description

We are looking for an experienced cabinet finisher who takes pride in producing high-end results in customers’ homes. This role is responsible for preparing, masking, sanding, priming, and spray finishing cabinet boxes and fixed millwork using professional airless spray equipment and waterborne Envirolak coatings. Most projects are completed in four working days, requiring excellent planning, efficiency, and attention to detail while maintaining a clean, organized job site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare kitchen cabinet boxes and fixed millwork for refinishing.
  • Mask and protect surrounding surfaces to ensure clean, professional spray applications.
  • Sand, clean, prime, and apply finish coats using airless spray equipment.
  • Maintain consistent spray quality with smooth, factory-like finishes.
  • Work efficiently to complete most kitchens within a four-day production schedule.
  • Coordinate with the shop team installing pre-finished doors and drawer fronts.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe throughout the project.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and project managers regarding project progress and site requirements.
  • Maintain and clean spray equipment and tools daily.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional on-site spray finishing experience, preferably in cabinet refinishing or high-end millwork.
  • Extensive experience using airless spray equipment.
  • Experience spraying waterborne coatings, including Envirolak products or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation, masking techniques, sanding, primers, and finish application.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality, defect-free finishes.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Professional appearance and conduct while working in customers’ homes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in residential environments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to represent Atlantic Paint & Flooring professionally at every job site.

Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour
