Job Posting- Clothesline Part-time Store Clerk

Who we are: The Clothesline is a retail store offering gently used clothing, shoes & accessories for sale. All merchandise is acquired through donations. The store is in downtown Cochrane. It’s a not-for-profit business owned and operated by the Cochrane Activettes. Profits from the store directly benefit the Activettes community programs.

The candidate: We’re looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the local community. The ideal person should be task orientated, a good organiser; and experienced in money handling. We are looking for someone with good communication and good basic math skills. The candidate should be prepared to take part in daily cleaning tasks and be interested in recycling and thrifting. We are seeking someone prepared to work a mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities and Job Duties Include:

• Representing the values and competencies of the organisation, providing excellent service to customers and donors;
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the store;
• Working collaboratively and communicating effectively with volunteers and staff team members;
• Sorting and pricing clothing;
• Serving customers, money handling and using debit machines,
• Complying with all policies and procedures including those relating to health and safety, daily operations and finance.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and be mobile. The job entails extended time on your feet.
