Position Summary

You will be responsible for Leclerc’s internal communications. In this role, you will define the communication strategy, manage communication channels, and provide guidance to leadership to ensure that all employees across Canada and the United States receive clear, consistent, and engaging information. This position also plays a key role in attracting and welcoming talent through employer branding initiatives, targeted recruitment efforts, and the onboarding of new employees.

Responsibilities

You contribute to achieving the company’s objectives through the following actions:

Internal Communications and Change Management

  • Define and implement the internal communications strategy across all sites.
  • Manage communication channels (intranet, bulletin boards, digital screens, emails) and measure their effectiveness.
  • Establish communication standards, including tone, branding, and quality guidelines, to support HR teams and site leadership.
  • Advise leadership on change management communications, as well as sensitive and crisis situations.

Employer Branding and Recruitment

  • Develop and promote the employer brand in collaboration with the Marketing team (internally and externally).
  • Create visual content to support the recruitment of key positions.
  • Lead communication campaigns, including the promotion of Leclerc's employee value proposition and benefits to candidates and employees.
  • Support the recruitment of targeted positions in collaboration with managers and HR Business Partners.

Recognition and Employee Engagement

  • Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, including gifts and special events.
  • Enhance and streamline recognition programs to reduce administrative workload.
  • Build and lead the Social Committee ("Fun Committee") for Head Office employees.

Onboarding and Integration

  • Participate in the onboarding and integration of Head Office employees.
  • Support managers in ensuring effective onboarding follow-up and employee integration.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, or another relevant field.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in internal communications, including recruitment and employee experience.
  • Possess significant experience in change management and employer branding.
  • Be fully proficient in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong consulting, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Be proficient with digital content creation tools and artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and excellent organizational skills in a multi-site environment.
