Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Countertop and Flooring Account Manager to join our team in Ottawa. In this role, you will act as a key brand ambassador and consultant, managing and securing accounts and guiding B2B clients and residential customers from initial consultation to successful installation. You will showcase our curated, top-tier selection of premium quartz, natural stone, ultra-compact porcelain slabs, and our comprehensive flooring services (tile, hardwood, vinyl, and carpet).

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Business Development: Expand and maintain relationships with professional accounts, including Ottawa’s leading home builders, design-build renovators, interior designers, and architects.
  • Consultative Sales: Guide clients through the selection of solid surfaces and flooring solutions based on their technical requirements, design aesthetics, budget, and project timeline.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with clients from start to finish—reviewing design specifications, preparing and revising accurate estimates/quotes, and ensuring client goals are met.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate project data and seamless handoffs with our digital measurement, production, and installation operations teams to guarantee flawless delivery.
  • Product Expertise: Stay updated on product features, industry trends, and technical differences among materials (e.g., quartz vs. porcelain durability, tile vs. vinyl applications) to provide expert-level advice.
  • Customer Experience: Managing client proposals and expectations through templating, programming, production, installation and collection processes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 2 or more years of successful sales or account management experience, preferably in the construction, kitchen & bath, interior design, flooring, or solid surface industry is a major asset.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with stone countertop materials (quartz, granite, porcelain) and flooring products (ceramic/porcelain tile, engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl) is highly desirable.
  • Client Relations: Proven track record of selling to and working with professional B2B clients (builders, renovators, designers) or delivering high-end retail consultative sales.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to build trust, handle objections, and resolve inquiries with a client-first mindset.
  • Organization: Highly organized with sharp attention to detail, capable of managing multiple quotes and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in reading standard design/floor plans and utilizing CRM or estimating software (experience with digital fabrication or stone-industry software is an asset).
