Position Overview

Drivers will operate a variety of equipment throughout Canada and the United States, transporting customer freight safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.

Equipment operated may include:

  • Flat Deck Trailers
  • Drop Deck Trailers
  • Trombone Trailers
  • Lowbed Trailers
  • Scissor Neck Trailers
  • Dry Van Trailers
  • Multi-Axle Configurations ranging from 32-wheel to 48-wheel combinations

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport freight safely throughout Canada and the United States
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Secure loads in accordance with cargo securement regulations
  • Complete all required trip and regulatory documentation accurately
  • Maintain compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and regulatory officials
  • Operate equipment in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
  • Assist with loading and unloading operations as required
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment

Qualifications & Requirements - Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement
  • Minimum 5 years verified Class 1 commercial driving experience
  • 3 years of experience with cross-border transport.
  • Clean Driver's Abstract (required)
  • Ability to cross the Canada-U.S. border
  • Strong knowledge of Hours of Service regulations
  • Experience with cargo securement and load safety practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional attitude and strong commitment to safety

Assets

  • FAST Card
  • Experience hauling oversize and specialized loads
  • Experience operating flat deck, lowbed, trombone, drop deck, scissor neck, and multi-axle trailer configurations
  • TDG Certification

Schedule Requirements

Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work:

  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Nights
  • Weekends
  • Extended trips throughout Canada and the United States

Schedules and routes may vary depending on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to climb, bend, and secure loads safely
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when required
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
