Description

Join the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program and contribute to training the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force personnel. In partnership with SkyAlyne, CAE delivers advanced training solutions and immersive learning experiences that support mission readiness. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for performing aircraft servicing and maintenance activities.

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and test aircraft systems

  • Remove and replace line-replaceable units and components

  • Perform specialty maintenance tasks in shop environments as required

  • Interpret technical publications, drawings, and diagrams

  • Maintain tools and equipment required for assigned duties

  • Order aircraft spare parts and materials as needed

  • Conduct flight line servicing operations

  • Provide updates and debriefs to the Team Lead as required

  • Perform workplace inspections and general housekeeping duties

  • Fulfill Desk Controller responsibilities when required

This position is based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Relocation support is available.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Aircraft Maintenance diploma or certificate from a recognized training organization (e.g., Canadian Armed Forces, Transport Canada M1/M2, FAA A&P, or EASA B1/B2)

  • Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in first-line maintenance

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to work shifts and travel occasionally as required

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices

  • Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance

  • Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit), or ability to obtain eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of second-line maintenance experience

  • Experience in lifecycle support activities
