Full job description

Ready for Something Different?

Bizi Transport is hiring experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our growing team.

If you're a strong, safety-minded Class 1 driver with solid commercial driving experience, a good attitude, and you're willing to learn, we want to hear from you.

Our drivers haul a variety of specialized commodities including frac sand, sulphur, chemicals, and cryogenics throughout Western Canada and beyond. Much of our work takes drivers into industrial sites, resource roads, remote locations, and off-highway environments.

Specialized experience is an asset, but we're also actively investing in training and driver development for experienced drivers who are ready to expand their skills.

What You'll Do

  • Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer combinations, including Super Bs
  • Haul a variety of specialized commodities throughout Western Canada and beyond
  • Work across industrial, resource-road and off-highway environments
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Load, unload and secure equipment as required
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers and other drivers
  • Complete electronic documentation using mobile applications
  • Adapt to changing schedules, weather, road and site conditions
  • Represent Bizi Transport professionally and safely

What We're Looking For

We're looking for good drivers first.

You don't need experience with every product we haul. You don't need to already know every customer site. And you don't need decades of oilfield experience.

We're interested in experienced Class 1 drivers who have a strong driving foundation and are willing to learn specialized work.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence
  • Minimum 3 years of Class 1 driving experience
  • Safe and confident commercial driving ability
  • Reasonable and current 5-year driver's abstract
  • Strong winter-driving skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn Super B and specialized operations
  • Willingness to learn chaining, resource-road and off-highway operations where required
  • Valid First Aid and H2S Alive, or ability to obtain required certifications
  • Comfortable working days, nights, weekends and rotational schedules
  • Comfortable with live-in-truck work and being away from home
  • Physically capable of chaining, climbing and working outdoors year-round
  • Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications
  • Professional, reliable and safety-minded

Experience That's an Asset

If you already have experience with any of the following, even better:

  • Super B combinations
  • Tankers
  • Flat deck or heavy haul
  • Oilfield transportation
  • Frac sand
  • Sulphur
  • Chemicals
  • Cryogenics
  • Fuel or petroleum products
  • Logging or resource roads
  • Off-road or remote work
  • Mountain driving
  • Winter driving and chaining
  • Agriculture, farming or heavy equipment

Don't have all of the above? That's okay.

We're interested in what you do bring to the table and whether you have the driving foundation, attitude and judgment to learn.

Training & Driver Development

Bizi Transport is actively investing in developing experienced Class 1 drivers for specialized transportation.

Depending on your previous experience and the work you're being assigned to, training may include:

  • Super B operation
  • Specialized commodity handling
  • Resource-road and site procedures
  • Radio communication and kilometre calling
  • Chaining and challenging road conditions
  • Customer-specific requirements
  • Field coaching and practical training

Our goal isn't simply to put you in a truck. It's to make sure you're properly prepared for the work you're being asked to do.

What We Offer

  • $9,000–$11,000 gross per month earning potential
  • Steady year-round work across multiple industries
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • Flexible rotation schedules based on operational requirements
  • Training and opportunities to expand your driving experience
  • Multiple commodities and types of work
  • Modern, well-maintained equipment
  • In-house maintenance
  • 24/7 support from experienced dispatchers
  • Direct access to company leadership through monthly virtual Town Halls

Before You Apply

This is not a home-every-night driving position.

Most positions are live-in-truck. Drivers may complete resets on the road and may work in remote locations throughout Western Canada and beyond.

Successful candidates must complete Bizi Transport's hiring requirements, including a road test and pre-employment testing.

Interested?

If you're an experienced Class 1 driver who's reliable, safety-minded and ready to learn something new, apply today.

Whether you already have specialized oilfield experience or you're looking for an opportunity to build it, we'd like to hear from you.
