Full job description

We're building a better way to do therapy.

Good Therapist is a homegrown Canadian virtual therapy platform built to transform how therapy is accessed and delivered across the country.

If you've been waiting for the right moment to go out on your own, but building a practice from scratch (billing, insurance, systems, admin) has felt like too much to take on alone, this is that moment. We give you the tools, systems, and support team to run your own practice, so you can focus on the clinical work you trained for.

Led by seasoned healthcare founders and clinicians, our vision is bold: build a trusted national platform that makes high-quality therapy more accessible while giving psychologists a real, guided path into private practice.

This is an opportunity to join early, grow with us and build the practice you've been waiting to start.

What You'll Do

  • Get your practice live within days, no setup or systems to build from scratch
  • Provide virtual therapy to your selected demographic: children (12–15), youth (16–18), adults, or couples
  • Deliver thoughtful, client-centered care through secure video sessions
  • Use measurement-based care tools (already set up for you) to track client progress
  • Complete documentation with streamlined templates
  • Set your own schedule and practice style

What Makes Good Therapist Different

✨ Go from registered psychologist to practice owner in days, not months

✨ Never run your own practice before? Most of our psychologists hadn't either, we handle the parts you didn't train for

✨ Marketing and visibility support, so you're not building your reputation from zero on your own

✨ Professional profile + personal booking link, ready from day one

✨ Secure EMR, tele-health, and clinical tools, fully set up

✨ Billing + direct insurance billing handled for you

✨ Admin support so you're never doing it alone

✨ Flexible hours: part-time, evenings, or full-time

✨ Registered Psychologists earn $141/hour (50 min) and $210/hour (80 min)

✨ No monthly fees: free to join

Who Thrives Here

  • Registered Psychologists (R.Psych) eligible to practice independently in Canada
  • Psychologists ready to launch their own practice for the first time, without doing it alone
  • Clinicians who want the independence of private practice without building it alone from scratch
  • Newly registered or newly independent psychologists looking for a guided way in
  • Growth-minded professionals who value quality and innovation
  • Ambitious go-getters with an entrepreneurial spirit, no business background required

Why Join Good Therapist

We're building something special - a Canadian platform where psychologists come to launch, grow, and belong.

If you've been waiting for the right moment to start your own practice, without spending the next year figuring out billing, insurance, marketing, and admin on your own, this is it.
