Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cake Maker to join our culinary team. The Cake Maker will be responsible for preparing high-quality goods, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Prepare and Make a variety of cakes, including customised designs for special occasions
  • Decorate cakes with icing, and other edible decorations to meet client specifications
  • Follow recipes accurately and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Manage ingredient inventory and restock supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with clients or team members to understand design requirements and dietary restrictions
  • Ensure all goods meet quality standards before presentation or delivery
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during food production and preparation

Experience

  • Proven experience in cake decoration
  • Strong background in food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Previous experience is desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within a commercial kitchen setting
  • Familiarity with restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing cakes with attention to detail and artistic flair
