At Fresh St. Market's Bakery Department, we tip a floppy baker's hat to some of the finest baked goods from near and far. With the help of our talented team of bakery experts who are dedicated to providing exceptional products and service, we are proud to offer an extensive selection of baked goods that includes freshly baked breads, sensational gourmet cakes, decadent cookies, and specialty items.

Reporting to the Department Leader, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Overview

• Bring a positive attitude every day
• Greeting customers and assisting them with questions and recommendations
• Takes and fills bakery orders for customers
• Cake decorating
• Answers customers’ questions about food ingredients, cake designs and other aspects of the baked goods
• Arranges baked goods in the display cases and on shelves and counters
• Makes certain that displays are filled with products and not low on merchandise or empty
• Ensures that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors
• Follows all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies
• Performing any additional duties assigned by the Department Leader

Street Credentials

• You have an impeccable level of cleanliness, attention to detail, and organization
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to shifting priorities
• You are highly self-motivated and work well under minimal supervision
• You possess strong customer service skills
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You work well with others in a high-pressure environment
• Previous work experience is a plus but not required. If you are willing to learn, we are eager to train you with the skills you need to succeed
• You can work on your feet for up to 8 hours a day
• You have a valid work authorization (i.e., work permit, student permit, PR) in Canada
