Role Summary

OMG is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Specialist – Data, Analytics, Automation and AI to join its IT team. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security, support, and continuous improvement of OMG's data, analytics, reporting, integration, automation, and applied AI solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will work closely with leaders and teams across the business to identify opportunities, translate business needs into workable technical solutions, and deliver those solutions hands-on. This role combines business analysis and solution design with hands-on development and support, and includes managing a structured intake, prioritization, and estimation process, so work is planned and delivered with the business. Success in this role requires a strong blend of technical depth and business acumen, a commitment to collaboration, and a genuine passion for technology. The ideal candidate is curious, enjoys solving complex business problems with technology, sharing knowledge with teammates, and building secure, resilient solutions that support OMG's long-term success.

· Design, build, secure, and support reports, dashboards, and data models.

· Design, implement, and support integrations between business applications and data sources.

· Identify, design, build, and support business process automations.

· Design, build, and configure AI-powered agents and tools, such as Copilot Studio agents.

· Manage a structured intake process for requests, including prioritization aligned with OMG’s business objectives following agile delivery principles.

· Evaluate new analytics, automation, and AI technologies and features; making recommendations on adoption.

· Develop and support technical standards, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and support documentation.

· Monitor solution health, performance, data quality security, and reliability, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert-level tier 3 support.

· Lead and contribute to data, analytics, automation, and AI projects.

· Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and knowledge transfer to junior IT team members.

Key Attributes

· Collaborative, team-first mindset with a genuine desire to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to team and company success.

· Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and offering technical guidance to less experienced team members and business users

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams and business functions.

· Commitment to continuous improvement

· Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.

· Naturally curious about technology, teammates, and the business, with a desire to understand both the "why" and the "how”.

· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

· Commitment to operational excellence, security, reliability, and building solutions that support OMG's long-term success.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience, with a deep focus on business intelligence, data analytics, integration and process automation in an enterprise environment.

· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and configuring AI powered solutions (e.g., Copilot Studio or comparable platforms); reflecting early, hands-on adoption of applied AI.

· University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered.

· Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) and Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect (AB-100) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience, such that these certifications could be obtained quickly.

· Experience facilitating work intake, prioritization, backlog management, and estimation aligned with Agile principles.

· Demonstrated ability to quickly evaluate, learn, and adopt emerging technologies, platforms, and product capabilities.

o Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and report and dashboard design

o Integration with Microsoft 365 services and other business applications

· Hands-on experience designing, building, configuring, and deploying Microsoft AI-powered agents and tools, including Copilot Studio agents, Microsoft 365 Copilot, etc.

· Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure integration services (e.g., Azure Functions, Data Factory, etc., Purview, and scripting languages such as Python considered an asset.

· Proven ability to assess requirements, recommend solutions, and plan, implement and support those solutions.

· Strong understanding of solution and data architecture, with the ability to design and clearly document data flows and technical standards.

· Strong understanding of data security, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.

· Experience with non-Microsoft analytics, integration, or automation platforms considered an asset.

· Experience in wealth management or financial services considered an asset.
