Full job description

Role Overview

The Director of Strategy and Partnerships owns the company's forward strategy and its partnership portfolio, across a horizon of six to twelve months ahead. The role sets where the business goes next, designs how products are titled, priced, and positioned, defines the forecasting that the execution engine delivers against, and builds the external partnerships and stakeholder relationships that open new growth. It reports directly to the founder and operates as an equal partner to the Head of Marketing and Growth.

The primary focus of the role is sales and product strategy: the direction, the positioning, and the relationships that set up future revenue.

Reporting and Structure

  • Reports directly to the founder.
  • Partners with the Head of Marketing and Growth, who owns near-term execution and the Marketing and Growth Team.
  • Serves as the bridge between the founder and external partners.

Engagement Terms

This is a full-time engagement structured as an annual independent contractor relationship, on a twelve-month term, renewable by mutual agreement. The position is fully remote and full time, and represents the contractor's primary professional focus during the term.

What This Role Owns Sales and product strategy

  • Own the six-to-twelve-month growth strategy: where the business goes next, and which revenue lines to open.
  • Set the strategic direction the execution engine delivers against.
  • Bring forward product and revenue concepts grounded in the market.

Product architecture

  • Own titling, pricing, and strategic positioning across the program portfolio.
  • Define the unique selling proposition for each offering, and the creative product concepts behind it.
  • Shape the portfolio architecture, including how programs tier, bundle, and ladder into one another to grow customer value over time.

Forecasting

  • Define the metrics and general timelines that the growth plan runs against.
  • Set the targets that near-term execution delivers to, and hold the forward view of trajectory.
  • Model the scenarios behind major bets, so the founder and the execution engine share one view of expected outcomes and risk.

Account leadership

  • Act as the bridge between key stakeholders, including the founder, and external partners.
  • Own the senior relationships that carry the partnership portfolio.
  • Represent the company in partner conversations, and translate partner needs into terms the business can act on.

Partnership setup

  • Build the structural foundation for all collaborative efforts: partnership terms, affiliate and co-marketing structures, and joint ventures.
  • Establish the agreements and the operating model that let partnerships run cleanly.
  • Identify and qualify new partnership opportunities that open additional audiences, channels, and revenue lines.

Collaboration with the Head of Marketing and Growth

  • Evaluate data requirements together, identifying what exists and what is missing.
  • Hold regular alignment where high-level strategy meets daily operations, so forecasting targets are met.
  • Analyze performance jointly and plan the pivots that protect growth trajectories.

Qualifications

  • A record of owning forward growth strategy, product positioning, and pricing at a multi- program organization.
  • Demonstrated strength in product architecture: titling, pricing, positioning, and unique selling proposition.
  • Experience building and leading partnerships, affiliate or co-marketing structures, and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Forecasting capability: defining metrics, timelines, and targets that an execution team can deliver against.
  • The judgment and range to operate as a founder-facing and partner-facing senior leader.
  • Canada-based and eligible to work as an independent contractor, directly or through a personal services corporation, with meaningful overlap with Eastern and Pacific time zones.
  • A sincere regard for the subject matter. This work lives where trauma, the body, and healing meet, and the audience deserves marketing that honors that.

What We Offer

  • Ownership of the forward strategy and the partnership portfolio, with direct access to the founder.
  • A direct partnership with the Head of Marketing and Growth.
  • A monthly retainer in Canadian dollars, renewable annually, within a fully remote engagement.

Pay: $10,000.00-$12,000.00 per month
