BDR (Business Development Representative)

Brault Roofing is currently seeking a Business Development Representative in the Greater Moncton Area to join our team. Ability to work a Fast-Paced environment. Roofing and/or construction industry experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and qualification
  • Capable of managing relationships with vendors, clients, consultants and project managers
  • Develop a sustainable customer base and grow existing relationships
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new business opportunities.
  • Research and develop opportunities and plans, understanding client/project requirements, identifying market trends, and propose opportunities to achieve the company's revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement business development strategies and plans
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Understands the business environment including competitive market to make the necessary proposals
  • Capable of conducting meticulous rooftop inspections to include photo, video and descriptive note taking
  • Capable of preparing and formatting detailed inspection reports
  • Capable of using an array of tools including core cutting device, caulking gun, putty knife, etc.
  • Must be comfortable setting up and climbing ladders
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Promote Brault Roofing and its services within your designated territory
  • Work closely with Senior Leadership and Project Management group to manage the BD process for the territory
  • Available to travel within territory for client meetings, conferences, trade shows and industry/client events as required.

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the construction industry
  • Post-secondary education; University/College degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field – Or experience equivalency.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to hunt for new opportunities while supporting both short and long sales cycles.
  • Skillful at identifying opportunities and developing strategies to be positioned in capturing opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities and projects deadlines.
  • Proven ability to strategically develop relationships with clientele in public and private sector
  • Strong grasp of business ethics and principles.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and clean abstract
  • Reside in the greater Moncton area
  • Local travel to project sites and meetings
