Business Development Representative

About Reliance Ventures

Reliance Ventures is a Western Canadian oilfield transportation and logistics company specializing in production fluid transportation services. The company operates a modern fleet and is committed to safety, reliability, and customer service throughout the energy sector.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to help expand our presence across Alberta and Western Canada.

Position Summary

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives within the oil & gas and industrial sectors.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in transportation, logistics, oilfield services, or industrial sales who enjoys building relationships and delivering solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within oil & gas, industrial, and energy sectors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and presentations
  • Prepare proposals, pricing packages, and service agreements
  • Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to ensure service excellence
  • Attend networking events, industry functions, and trade shows
  • Maintain CRM records and sales activity reports
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
  • Support long-term account growth and retention

Qualifications

  • Previous business development, sales, or account management experience
  • Transportation, trucking, logistics, or oilfield service experience is considered a strong asset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel within Alberta as required
