Full job description

Company Overview

ICO manufactures and wholesales luxury towel warmers, mirrors & medicine cabinets, and bathroom accessories for homes across Canada and the United States. The company focuses on high-quality products with options for a range of styles and budgets.

Purpose for the Role

Turn promising architect, designer, and homebuilder leads into first-time ICO customers by guiding them from their first sample box through product education, relationship building, and their first order.

Vision for the Role

Become the trusted ICO contact trade partners turn to when choosing products for their projects—and consistently move qualified opportunities from interest to purchase.

Ownership of the attraction pipeline

Take ownership of leads from the point their first sample box is sent through their first purchase.

Create and carry out a timely follow-up plan for every lead, using calls, email, and Zoom.

Keep opportunities moving with clear next steps, consistent follow-through, and a strong understanding of what is holding a prospect back.

Deliver against agreed conversion, first-order, and pipeline targets.

Build strong trade partner relationships

Measures for Performance

Develop genuine, professional relationships with architects, designers, and homebuilders.

Learn each prospect’s business, projects, customers, and product needs; tailor conversations and recommendations accordingly.

Earn trust through responsiveness, product knowledge, reliability, and a helpful, consultative approach.

Maintain regular contact while keeping follow-up relevant and respectful.

Lead product education and outbound sales calls

Make a high volume of outbound calls and confidently turn initial interest into productive conversations.

Plan and lead engaging Zoom meetings, product presentations, and training sessions.

Explain ICO products, benefits, applications, and points of difference in terms that matter to each audience.

Help prospects understand how to specify, present, and purchase ICO products.

Convert interest into action

Identify the prospect’s needs, decision process, timing, and potential objections.

Recommend clear next steps that move the opportunity toward a first order, such as a product review, project discussion, quote, or follow-up meeting.

Address questions and objections promptly, coordinating with internal teams when needed.

Pursue opportunities with persistence and urgency while protecting the quality of the customer experience.

Maintain CRM information and share insights

Record contact activity, meeting outcomes, opportunity status, next steps, and relevant account details in the company’s CRM or sales tracking system.

Maintain accurate forecasts and flag stalled or at-risk opportunities early.

Share recurring customer questions, objections, product feedback, and market trends with sales, marketing, and product teams.

Recommend improvements to follow-up, education, and conversion practices based on what is working in the field.

Essential Skills & Experience

Demonstrated success in sales, business development, account development, or another relationship-based, target-driven role.

Strong phone presence and confidence making frequent outbound calls.

Skilled at building rapport, asking thoughtful questions, listening closely, and earning trust.

Confident presenting to individuals and groups, including leading Zoom meetings and product training.

Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication.

Strong follow-up habits, organization, and ability to manage multiple active opportunities.

Persistent and comfortable asking for the next step and closing for a first order.

Able to learn product details and explain them in a clear, customer-focused way.

Comfortable using CRM systems, video conferencing, and common business software.

Experience working with architects, interior designers, homebuilders, or building products is an asset.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
  • Profit sharing
