Full job description

Smitty’s Home Hardware Building Center is a family-owned and operated home improvement retailer and building supplier. We offer a full range of products and services from key cutting to custom home design and sales.

We are currently recruiting for a LBM (Lumber and Building Materials) Salesperson to join our team.

An LBM Salesperson works with home owners and contractors to determine their needs and provide solutions. This includes selling deck packages, garage packages, roofing, siding, renovation projects, etc. An LBM Salesperson also works to build relationships with builders and contractors to provide the high level of service that they rely on to do their jobs.

Duties include:

Driving sales through strong customer service, product knowledge, and providing complete solutions.

Estimating materials for building and renovation projects.

Continuously improving product knowledge and sales skills.

Helping customers find what they need in the store.

Maintaining designated area of the store.

Ordering product.

Qualifications/Skills:

Strong customer service skills

Strong communication skills

Motivation for sales

Interior design skills an asset

Outgoing personality

Basic computer skills

Experience:

Previous sales experience an asset

Experience in construction an asset

We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
