Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Building Systems Erector to join our construction team. This role involves the assembly and installation of metal building components, requiring a strong understanding of construction principles and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various tools and materials, ensuring the efficient and precise erection of metal structures. This position offers opportunities for professional growth within the construction industry and plays a vital role in delivering high-quality building projects.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble metal building components
  • Erect steel frameworks, siding, and other structural elements according to specifications
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to lift, position, and secure materials
  • Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed during construction projects
  • Use hand tools and woodworking equipment for precise fitting and adjustments
  • Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks to ensure structural integrity
  • Assist with concrete pouring and finishing when required
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or metal building erection
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration processes is a plus
  • Experience operating heavy machinery and power tools such as welders, drills, saws, and forklifts
  • Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures on construction sites
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
  • Prior work involving siding installation or woodworking is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations
