The Opportunity

Homeward Bound is seeking an experienced and highly organized Regional Property Manager to oversee a residential portfolio of 250+ units between Kentville and New Minas and Wolfville.

This leadership role is central to the continued growth of the Homeward Bound brand. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between tenants, Resident Managers, maintenance staff, tradespeople, ownership, and the construction division. They will also support the implementation and improvement of property management software and digital workflows as the company expands its owned portfolio and external client base.

A key component of this role is contributing to long‑term community development, helping shape safe, connected, and well‑supported residential environments across the Annapolis Valley.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across a multi‑site residential portfolio
  • Ensure consistent property upkeep, lawn care, and maintenance coordination
  • Respond to operational issues, health and safety concerns, and emergency situations

Tenant Relations

  • Support Resident Managers with on boarding, move‑outs, lease administration, and communication
  • Maintain high standards of tenant satisfaction and community engagement

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support Resident Managers and support staff
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and operational excellence

Maintenance & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with maintenance staff, tradespeople, and community services
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely completion of work

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Oversee rent collection, damage deposits, and tenant documentation
  • Monitor budgets, turnover trends, and operational efficiencies
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows

Technology & Systems

  • Assist with implementation and oversight of property management software
  • Improve digital workflows and operational reporting

Community Development

  • Contribute to long‑term community development initiatives across the portfolio
  • Support the creation of safe, connected, and inclusive residential environments
  • Collaborate with local partners, and internal teams to strengthen community well‑being

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of property management experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and digital workflow management
  • Experience with professional property management software
  • Working knowledge of AR/AP processes or ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem solving ability, discretion, and professional judgment
  • Comfortable working independently while overseeing staff and operations
  • Experience with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Bonuses based on performance
  • Vacation: 3 weeks annually
  • Benefits: Extended health and dental coverage, child sports benefit up to $1,000 p/a

  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on‑call availability for emergency situations

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
