Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Brampton, Ontario

About the opportunity:

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, design, execution, and finalization of projects within manufacturing facilities. This includes delivering projects on time, within budget, and with technically sound solutions. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, project management discipline, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

The attributes we are looking for:

· 1. Project Planning & Coordination

· Lead CAPEX project planning, including scope, timelines, and budgets

· Define project objectives and deliverables aligned with business goals

· Coordinate resources and ensure adherence to milestones

· Communicate expectations and status clearly to stakeholders

· Proactively manage scope changes, risks, and contingencies

· 2. Engineering Design & Technical Ownership

· Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment

· Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses

· Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures

· 3. Technical Documentation

· Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, reports)

· Ensure documentation meets industry and regulatory requirements

· 4. Risk Management

· Identify project risks early

· Develop and implement mitigation strategies

· 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with production, maintenance, procurement, and other stakeholders

· Support safe operations, product quality, reliability, and productivity

· Drive alignment across functional teams

· 6. Team Leadership & Development

· Coach, mentor, and support team members and contractors

· Promote ownership, accountability, and continuous learning

· 7. Vendor Management

· Engage and manage external vendors and suppliers

· Review proposals, support technical evaluations, and negotiate contracts

· Coordinate with municipalities for permits where required

· 8. Quality Assurance

· Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle

· Ensure deliverables meet defined standards and specifications

· 9. Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety

· Stay informed on technologies that support operational improvements

What you will bring:

· Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred)

· Minimum 5 years of engineering/project experience

· Experience in food or process manufacturing environments

· Experience with systems such as CIP, pasteurization, and sterilization

· Knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA systems

· Strong understanding of engineering design and project delivery

· Strong project management and organizational skills

· Financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, ROI awareness)

· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

· Clear communication and stakeholder management skills

· Adaptability in dynamic environments

· Negotiation and influencing ability

Compensation:

As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $99,100 – $123,900+.

Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.

Pay: $99,100.00-$123,900.00 per year
