Lead with purpose. The Ethics Director will provide enterprise wide oversight of ethical conduct and culture, reinforcing Deloitte’s values and ethical standards through communications, learning, and trusted speak up mechanisms. In partnership with business leaders and key stakeholders, the program embeds ethical decision making into daily operations, supports accountability, and strengthens a culture of integrity and trust across the firm
What will your typical day look like?
Lead, evolve and execute on Deloitte Canada's Ethics program; ensuring it is proactive, forward-looking, and aligned with the firm's strategic priorities.
Act as a trusted second-in-command to the Ethics Officer, partnering on strategy development, execution, and high-stakes decision-making.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and partners to foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and followership across the organization.
Drive the shift from reactive issue management to an embedded, future-ready ethics framework that anticipates risk and shapes culture at scale.
Champion enterprise-wide change initiatives that strengthen Deloitte's culture and reinforce its commitment to doing what is right.
Collaborate with Global ethics on compliance & governance frameworks.
Oversee the firm’s Code of Conduct lifecycle and governance.
Oversee the firms Ethics Ambassador program and engagement model.
Collaborate with Chile to ensure alignment on ethics program elements and implementation of firm-wide initiatives.
Lead and oversee ethics helpline and case management processes applying sound judgment in complex, sensitive, and high-visibility situations.
Provide leadership over investigations and case management practices, ensuring fairness, rigor, consistency, and timely resolution.
Identify themes relating to ethics matters being reported and develop frameworks to ensure consistency in addressing these matters.
Oversee compliance with non-retaliation policies and requirements.
Partner with cross-functional teams: Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Quality, and People & Purpose-to embed ethics into core business processes and decision making.
Oversee development and implementation of ethics learning programs, including:
New joiner ethical learning sessions
Level-based training
Onboarding risk course for independent contractor
Provide training and guidance to facilitators and ambassadors.
Ensure consistency and effectiveness of training content aligned to ethics objectives including participation in Global working groups
Oversee development and execution of communication strategy/plan to:
Reinforce ethics expectations
Promote a speak-up culture
Generate meaningful, data driven insights by analyzing ethics case data, training metrics, and survey results to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas for improvement, and translate these insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen the overall ethics framework.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, encouraging innovation, continuous improvement, and thought leadership.
About the team
Deloitte's Ethics Office is part of the National Quality & Risk Management (QRM) function, which provides specialized guidance and support to partners and professionals across the areas of ethics, independence, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The team plays a critical role in enabling the firm to deliver exceptional client service while safeguarding Deloitte's reputation, integrity, and financial interests through proactive risk management and sound professional judgment.

You are someone with these required skills, experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing end-to-end ethics or compliance programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive organizational transformation.
Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex, sensitive situations.
Ability to build followership and influence across all levels of the organization.
Experience operating within structured, process‑driven environments, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
It would be great for you to have some of these nice to haves as well:
Legal background or experience working closely with General Counsel functions.
Experience in Big 4 or similarly complex, partnership‑led organizations.
Exposure to AI, emerging technology, and data ethics or governance.
Track record of driving innovation, process improvement, or change initiatives.
Experience supporting internal audit, quality reporting, or enterprise risk management.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $260,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
