Full job description

CNC & Manual Machinists (Intermediate & Senior) | Custom Machining | Multiple Shifts AvailableBuild Something Different Every Day

At Larca Custom Machining, we're not a production shop—and we're not looking for production machinists. Our 20,000 square foot expansion is done and new machines are arriving!

We specialize in custom, built-to-print components where precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving matter. Most of our work is one-off or low-volume, meaning every day brings new parts, new challenges, and new opportunities to apply your skills.

If you're the type of machinist who enjoys figuring things out, takes pride in quality work, and wants more variety than running the same part for weeks at a time, we'd like to meet you.

These are growth positions—not replacements.

We are actively hiring for the following Intermediate and Senior-level positions:

  • CNC Mill Machinists
  • CNC Lathe Machinists
  • Manual Mill Machinists
  • Manual Lathe Machinists

Available on Day, Afternoon, and Night Shift.

✅ Four-day work week
✅ Three-day weekends every week

What Makes Larca Different?

Our machinists are not assigned to one machine and left there indefinitely.

Work is assigned based on skill level, machine capability, and customer requirements, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of parts, materials, and equipment.

You'll work alongside experienced programmers, project managers, and machinists who genuinely care about quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

We believe skilled machinists should be challenged, trusted, and given opportunities to keep developing their craft.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking machinists with experience in a custom job shop environment who are:

✅ Confident performing complete setups independently (multiple set-ups a day)

✅ Strong blueprint readers with a solid understanding of GD&T

✅ Experienced in measuring and inspecting their own work

✅ Comfortable holding tight tolerances and producing high-quality parts

✅ Strong problem-solvers who can think through complex setups and machining challenges

✅ Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

Bonus Skills

  • Mastercam experience
  • G-M code editing
  • Advanced setup experience
  • Experience machining a variety of materials and complex components

The Kind of Work You'll Be Doing- Our Machinists are Craftsmen

  • Setting up and operating CNC or manual machines
  • Producing precision custom components from engineering drawings
  • Working with one-off and low-volume parts
  • Inspecting and verifying your own work
  • Collaborating with programmers and fellow machinists
  • Solving unique machining challenges every day

Please Apply to the Role That Best Matches Your Current Skill Level

As we continue to grow, we expect to create opportunities for apprentices and junior machinists in the future. However, our current openings are for Intermediate and Senior-level Machinists only.

At this time, we are seeking machinists who can independently set up jobs, interpret complex blueprints, inspect their own work, and produce precision components with minimal supervision.

If you're an apprentice or early in your machining career, we encourage you to watch for future opportunities. They are coming, stay tuned and apply to the posting that matches your skillset.
