Job description:
Associate Lawyer – Personal Injury – Saskatchewan
Preszler Injury Lawyers is seeking an intermediate to senior associate lawyer to handle personal injury files. We have a full file load for the right candidate to step into.
This role is ideal for a lawyer with a strong commitment to access to justice. Our work often involves representing individuals against large institutions and insurers, ensuring that legal advocacy is available to everyone, regardless of their financial resources.
As a personal injury firm, we sue large corporations on behalf of people who generally lack power. Our goal is to provide legal services that only the wealthiest people can afford to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. We consider our practice as more of a calling than a job and are looking for a lawyer who shares that same mindset.
About the Role:
As an associate lawyer at Preszler, you will work in a wide range of personal injury and civil litigation matters. This includes personal injury files, premises liability cases, disability denials, institutional abuse claims if you have interest in this work, and product liability claims.
The right candidate will have resilience and be willing to work hard for clients even on difficult cases; good communication and client management skills; a willingness to abandon ego in service of doing the best job possible for deserving clients; an interest in trauma informed lawyering; a strong work ethic; and, an interest in personal injury law as a calling to help vulnerable and deserving clients by providing access to justice.
Preszler has a well-developed trial and litigation team with lawyers of all seniority levels. Mentorship opportunities at trial and otherwise are provided to all associates.
The firm provides each associate with a full practice but also has room to reward lawyers who source their own work, if they so choose.
What We Offer:
- A full practice upon hire; no expectation to bring your own clients.
- Competitive compensation, extended health and dental benefits, and commission on settled files.
- Regular court appearances, trial work, mediations, and discoveries.
- Strong culture of mentorship and collaboration across seniority levels.
- A national platform.
- Paid time off.
- Hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
- Demonstrated commitment to advocacy, social justice, or plaintiff-side litigation.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage files independently while working as part of a team.
- Resilience and client-centered communication skills.
Location:
This position will be remote until further notice.
How to Apply:
Submit your application (cover letter, CV, and any relevant supporting materials) by email to:
HRBC@preszlerlaw.comSubject line: Lawyer Application – [Your Name]
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
About Us:
Preszler Injury Lawyers was founded in 1959 and has grown into Canada’s largest personal injury firm, with offices in British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia, and active files in Manitoba, Yukon, and Saskatchewan. Our mission is to deliver high-quality legal representation to those who need it most.
Preszler likely runs more trials than any other personal injury law firm in the country, which provides a unique opportunity for mentorship with trial preparation and trial skills. Lawyers receive regular training in personal injury matters, including trial work and jury trials. The working environment is collegial with opportunity to ask questions, workshop cases, and receive and give regular mentorship with lawyers with different styles and skill sets.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including those traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession.
