Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of light vehicles, trucks, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. Your expertise in mechanical systems, along with your proficiency with hand tools and power tools, will be essential in delivering high-quality service that keeps operations running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and precision are paramount.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on light vehicles, trucks, machinery, and equipment to identify issues early.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance using a wide range of hand tools and power tools to restore vehicles, equipment, and machinery to proper working condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and related vehicle systems to determine root causes and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on light vehicles and trucks, including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, driveline, cooling systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts used for compliance and future reference.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair schedules and ensure minimal downtime of vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols rigorously during all maintenance and repair procedures to protect yourself and others.
  • Assist in the inspection, installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery, equipment, vehicles, or related components as required.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and specialized mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Conduct road tests and operational checks when required to verify that repairs have been completed correctly and safely.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining light vehicles, trucks, machinery, or other mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, sockets, and torque wrenches, as well as power tools such as drills, grinders, and impact wrenches.
  • Knowledge of automotive and truck mechanical systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, steering, drivetrain, and cooling systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills for documenting work performed and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Must have prior hands-on experience working as a Mechanic, with experience servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing light vehicles, transport trucks, machinery, or equipment.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
