Job Overview
Fix Auto Charlottetown is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety and aesthetic standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued. Prior experience in dealership settings or automotive repair is a plus, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure proper paint adhesion
  • Mix paints, stains, and primers to achieve desired colors and finishes
  • Apply paint or coatings using spray equipment with attention to detail
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain quality standards
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to assist with surface preparation and repairs
  • Lift heavy materials or equipment safely during the painting process
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably with dealership or automotive repair background
  • Mechanical knowledge related to automotive or machinery is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Prior experience with automotive painting or related fields is a plus
