The Opportunity
We are looking for a Shipper for our Midwest location. This position will be reporting to the Shipping Supervisor. The key responsibility is to ensures accurate preparation, packaging, and coordination of outgoing shipments to meet delivery timelines. The wage rate for this position is $28.
Shift: 8 hours Bi-weekly Rotating (6.30am-2.30pm, 2.30pm-10.30pm, 10.30pm-6.30am)
What You’ll Do
- Process orders to meet delivery schedule for requested pick up time.
- Provide substitutions or replacements where necessary
- Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage
- Label and pack pallets according to customer requirements
- Product is loaded on truck according to delivery schedule
- Make arrangements with carrier for any shipments required to ship outside carrier
- Report any product returns to Customer Service
- Perform weekly cycle counts. Minimum 1x per week
- Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy. Report damaged product or shortages to Customer Service immediately. Sign all packing slips detailing damages and/or shortages
- Ensure product is put away in warehouse once received from supplier
- Perform product audits if/when necessary
What You Bring
- Valid Counterbalance Propane License
- Must be willing to work Midnight Shift (10:30pm-6:30am). If business needs change, the schedule may move to the rotating shift schedule in the future.
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Detail Oriented
- Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
