PremYum, the operating name of Parkhill Meats Limited, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Retail Manager to lead our growing retail operation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who enjoys working alongside their team while driving operational excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of our retail store, support and develop our existing Retail Butcher and Customer Service Representative, and play a key role in the continued growth of our retail business and future Country Market concept.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the daily operation of our retail store.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
  • Coach, support, and develop the retail team.
  • Assist with retail butchery duties as required.
  • Oversee inventory, merchandising, pricing, and product presentation.
  • Coordinate retail product requirements with our production team.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations, customer experience, and retail performance.
  • Help drive the continued growth of the PremYum retail business.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous retail management or supervisory experience.
  • Previous professional experience within the meat/protein industry is required. Experience may include meat retail, butcher operations, meat processing, protein manufacturing, meat distribution/wholesale, or another comparable meat-focused environment.
  • Experience in a meat, grocery, or food retail environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with inventory management and POS systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to lead by example and work alongside the team.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
