Full job description

Job Description:

The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects within our growing automation company. They are responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. As They collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and ensure successful project outcomes. This is a dynamic role where leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex projects are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Face of the company to the customer – single point contact
  • Assume responsibility for the life of the project with regards to budget, schedule and customer satisfaction, from receipt of purchase order through final installation and acceptance at the customer’s site
  • Monitor all progress by the project teams on a daily basis, pinpoint possible issues with design, budgets, schedules and customers
  • Liaison between all departments to ensure time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of client machinery and equipment
  • Create and review project schedules with the client and project team to ensure on-time project delivery
  • Supervise, track, and report on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs, and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate
  • Consult with the assigned manager or higher to seek guidance and input during the key phases of a project
  • Maintain open issues list of customer related issues
  • Be the escalation for coordinators
  • Budget conformance
  • Complete any tasks assigned by manager or higher in an efficient and timely manner

Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering/Robotics Automation Technology
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, within the automation, technology, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Competent working knowledge of industrial safety standards and the PHSR process
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Solid Works would be an asset
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Jira, or similar).
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and working with cross-functional departments.
  • Strong supervision, delegation, and capacity development abilities
  • Ability to handle complex projects, including managing timelines, budgets, and risks.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
