Do you enjoy developing people and teams to help them become the best they can be? Are you an individual who enjoys working and playing in the mountain environment in all four glorious seasons? Then Manning Park Resort has an exciting employment opportunity for you. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to assist in supporting and facilitating the day-to-day leadership, management, and administration of one of British Columbia’s best-kept secrets.

The ideal candidate for this year-round, hands-on position will possess:

  • Minimum of five years’ management experience with demonstrated leadership and coaching skills in the resort and hospitality industry, including mandatory, hands-on experience in Alpine area operations (such as ski hill operations, lift operations, grooming, ski patrol, Snow School experience, and winter activities).
  • Strong, practical expertise in Alpine and winter operations planning, safety, and execution is essential for success in this role and is a core requirement.
  • A diploma, degree or equivalent experience in the areas of Tourism & Hospitality, Business, Marketing or related field is an asset
  • Ability to cultivate strong and effective relationships with staff, local businesses and stakeholders
  • Proven financial acumen in budget and capital management
  • Engaging interpersonal and communication skills
  • Business development and supportive mindset
  • Oversee resort operations in the absence of the General Manager
  • Valid and current documents to work in Canada
