Position Summary
The Manager of Asset Management is responsible for developing and executing a company-wide asset management strategy to ensure optimal utilization, maintenance, and ROI on all physical assets—including vehicles, traffic control devices, electronic equipment, and infrastructure. This role will lead a team and collaborate with operations, logistics, finance, and compliance to support efficient, cost-effective field execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Asset Management Strategy: Own and execute the company-wide asset management vision, aligning with operational goals, growth, and financial targets.
- Drive Asset Performance & Utilization: Ensure optimal utilization, availability, and lifecycle management across all regions.
- Establish Governance & Standardization: Develop and enforce standardized processes for asset acquisition, tracking, maintenance, and disposal.
- Enable Cross-Functional Operations: Partner with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance to ensure efficient deployment and accountability.
- Leverage Data & Reporting: Use asset data and reporting to drive strategic decisions and capital planning.
- Oversee Systems & Technology: Ensure strong adoption and continuous improvement of asset tracking systems and tools.
- Manage Financial Performance: Oversee budgets, capital forecasting, and cost optimization to maximize ROI.
- Lead Team Structure & Performance: Build and scale a high-performing asset management team with clear ownership and accountability.
- Ensure Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements and innovation across asset management operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in asset, equipment, or fleet management; experience in traffic control, construction, logistics, or public works is preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing efficient systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with asset management, ERP, or fleet tracking systems (e.g., SAP, Asset Panda, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations management, or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ad hoc tasks as required
