Brake Press Operator

Location: Guelph, Ontario

Armtec is looking for a Brake Press Operator to join our production team in Guelph, Ontario. In this hands-on role, you'll operate and set up brake press equipment to manufacture quality metal components while helping ensure our products meet the high standards our customers expect.

What You'll Do

As a Brake Press Operator, you will:

• Set up and operate brake press equipment to manufacture quality products that meet company specifications.
• Change tooling and dies to support production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Complete quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Perform daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Keep equipment clean, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.
• Identify minor equipment issues and perform basic adjustments or corrective actions.
• Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with your supervisor and teammates to meet production goals.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is dependable and safety-focused

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication or metal forming.
• Experience operating and programming a brake press is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane is an asset (training and certification provided if required).
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience with plasma cutting and welding is considered an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment adjustments and routine maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and following established procedures.
