Full job description

House assistant and personal support worker required for elderly couple who are still living in their own home. Your primary job is to ensure the safety and well-being of the couple; during the night you will be required to assist with going to washroom, ensuring couple is safe and secure, preventing falls through the night, and also providing medications as required. Bedroom will be alarmed so if clients wake up and need help alarm will be triggered. While the couple is sleeping you will also be expected to perform general activities associated with running a household, including but not limited to: meal preparation, laundry, cleaning (including kitchen, bathrooms, etc.), organizing the home, and other household tasks. On weekends you will be expected to prepare meals and provide companionship. Hours are 2-3 overnight shifts during the week and days and/or evening shifts on weekends. In the morning you will expected to help clients shower and get dressed +- make breakfast. References required. Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi would be an asset but not required. Home is located in Sarnia, Ontario. Apply by sending resume and cover letter.
