Full job description

Magnum Fabricating Ltd. is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join its fuel‑tank manufacturing team in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality metalwork, enjoys building heavy‑duty products from the ground up, and thrives in a fast‑paced fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
  • Fabricate fuel tanks and related assemblies from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Fit, tack, and weld components to precise tolerances.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure weld integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication (fuel‑tank or pressure‑vessel experience is an asset).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency with shop equipment and power tools.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.

Preferred Certifications

  • Journeyperson Welder or equivalent experience (not mandatory).
  • CWB certification an asset
  • WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety training.
