Job Title: Carpenter / Labourer / Apprentice — High-End Custom Carpentry

Location: Simcoe County/ Muskoka, ON

Company Overview:

We are a boutique custom carpentry company specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects across Barrie to Muskoka. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, attention to detail and collaborative project delivery for discerning clients and designers.

Positions Available:

  • Carpenters (Journeyperson / Experienced)
  • Carpentry Apprentices
  • General Labourers (construction/carpentry experience an asset)
  • Sub Contractors (Must have WSIB and HST#)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
  • Layout, measure, cut, assemble and install custom woodwork on-site with high precision and finish quality
  • Operate hand and power tools safely (table saw, router, planer, nailers, etc.)
  • Perform site prep, framing, blocking, and finish carpentry tasks
  • Assist with material handling, setup, cleanup, and quality control
  • Follow project schedules, coordinate with project managers, contractors and trades

Qualifications:

Carpenters

  • 3+ years’ experience in finish/custom carpentry or completion of Red Seal/Journeyperson preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Framing, fine finishing, and installation techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew

Apprentices

  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program preferred
  • Some hands-on experience or trade school background an asset
  • Eagerness to learn, reliable, punctual

Labourers

  • 1+ year construction or site labour experience preferred
  • Comfortable with physical work, lifting, and site tasks
  • Willingness to learn basic carpentry skills

Sub Contractors

  • Must have HST Number and own W.S.I.B

Compensation & Benefits:

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time; schedule varies by project (typical workweek Monday–Friday, Optional weekends)

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $21.68-$48.00 per hour
