Full job description

Fronius is an international company and is a technology leader specializing in high quality manual and robotic welding solutions. We are true masters of the entire spectrum: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Plasma, and Laser Hybrid. At Fronius Canada we are currently looking for a passionate Welding Application Technician - Perfect Welding to join our TSN Team at our Mississauga location. This is not just any job.....At Fronius Canada, we are experts in our field, our solutions are different and so are our people!

What you will be doing:

  • Welding Application technical support for end clients and dealers in Ontario and across Canada as required.
  • Conduct manual/robotic weld tests on site or at Fronius Canada documenting and reporting results.
  • Conduct training events for team members, distributors, dealers and end clients
  • Responsible for supporting the sales process by conducting weld demonstrations, providing technical presentations, assisting in the configuration of welding equipment and acting as the technical expert
  • Attends/facilitates presentations or develops proposals, conducts demonstrations, acting as the technical expert.
  • Carrying out test welds of client or prospective client prototypes and/or samples and documenting the results on the Fronius intranet.
  • Forward feedback about market, competition, product to Fronius International
  • Participating in trade fairs and providing technical support at regional and national events.
  • Other tasks as required.

What we are looking for:

  • 3 year diploma in Welding Engineering Technology and/or 5 years of Welding experience
  • Good hands-on welder (SMAW, GMAW & GTAW)
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • English is required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM
  • Must be willing and authorized to travel extensively throughout Canada, USA and Europe (approx. 50%).

  • Experience in robotic welding.
