Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc.- Stratford, ON

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and hardworking Manufacturing Engineering Technologist. Whether you are looking to start a career or have several years of experience we have a position for you!

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist at Accumetal Manufacturing, you will design and develop 3D models, create shop drawings, and work templates for the metal fabrication of custom parts in accordance with customer specifications. With a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic you can help contribute to the further success of our company!

What you will do:

· Review incoming purchase orders for accuracy and viability against original quote and specifications.

· Dedicate time initiating ideas and recording results for SR&ED projects and submit them to the Engineering Supervisor.

· Verify and source hardware and components as required and needed during part/template set up etc.

· Develop 3D models/drawings for production process based on customer designs while utilizing latest release of SolidWorks.

· Perform nesting using ProNest for use in CNC machinery including Laser, Plasma and Punch machines.

· Work collaboratively with production members in the execution of the design by resolving production barriers and improving efficiencies.

· Create template design for fixtures, as required, for parts production.

· Re-engineer and/or update design templates consequent to Engineering Change Notices (ECN).

· Process and address all process improvement recommendations made by production staff.

· Abide by all established safety policies and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

What you will need to succeed:

· Working knowledge of SolidWorks, ProNest and Microsoft Office software.

· Knowledge of weld symbols.

· Knowledge of Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) standards.

Required Education and Experience:

· College diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Technology

· 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
