POSITION: CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR

This position is responsible for daily operation and maintenance activities. The Control Room Operator will work on a rotation basis with regular shifts as a relief operator in the field – supporting the Shift Lead and providing coverage.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

· Ensure all Greenfire Resources safety requirements are met or exceeded. 

· Provide operational input to plant operational efficiency initiatives. 

· Perform the duties of control room operator in a fast paced, dynamic environment using an Emerson DeltaV process control system

· Attain a high level of competency and understanding in the plant process and design while working as a relief operator to support a greater level of proficiency in the control room

· Support the development of safe operating procedures and training materials.

· Individuals maintain a logbook of pertinent plant and process changes and activities

· Participate and contribute in safety meetings, and continually strive to maintain a safe work place

· Provide additional shift coverage as required to facilitate vacation and other vacancies

· Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET:

· Minimum of a grade 12 diploma. Preference given to a 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate.

· 10 years’ operating experience in SAGD Preferred

· Proven experience in a control room setting in an operational capacity using a Distributed Control System

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment, utilizing strong communication and organizational skills.

· Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and strong decision-making skills

· Knowledge and familiarity with Greenfire Resources values, business vision, practices, processes, and systems.
