Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pet Grooming Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring groomers in a dynamic, hands-on environment. In this role, you will lead classroom sessions and practical demonstrations, sharing your expertise in pet grooming techniques, safety protocols, and customer service. Your enthusiasm will motivate students to develop their skills confidently while ensuring they understand industry standards and best practices. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of pet grooming professionals and promote high-quality pet care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom lessons on pet grooming fundamentals, including bathing, trimming, styling, and hygiene practices
  • Conduct practical demonstrations to teach grooming techniques with precision and care
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their technical skills and confidence
  • Develop curriculum materials that align with industry standards and certification requirements
  • Monitor student progress through assessments and hands-on evaluations
  • Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering to safety protocols for both students and animals
  • Support students in building professional skills such as client communication, time management, and hygiene standards

Skills

  • Proven classroom experience in teaching or training roles, preferably within pet care or grooming fields
  • Strong knowledge of pet grooming techniques, tools, and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage learners of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate grooming procedures clearly and effectively in both theoretical and practical settings
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to high-quality pet care education
  • Organized with the ability to develop lesson plans, assessments, and training materials effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on student needs and industry updates

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
