- The incumbent maintains continuous liaison with faculty representatives and program co-ordinators in the faculties of admission.
- The incumbent evaluates Canadian, American, and international academic and related documents for authenticity, completeness, level of studies, equivalency, comparative level of excellence, and possible transfer credit. The incumbent is responsible for keeping abreast of matriculation requirements from each of the Canadian provinces and the requirements for international students.
- The incumbent provides referrals to successful candidates on an ongoing basis regarding other student concerns such as registration procedures, orientation dates, housing and financial aid. The incumbent advises unsuccessful candidates, their parents, and guidance counsellors of the reasons for the refusal of admission and positive measures that can be taken to improve chances for admission for a future session while respecting the limitations of the FIPPA regulations.
